This rental far exceeded our expectations! Beautifully renovated house, gorgeous, landscaping, and lighting, lovely pool, and the play yard and tent for our son was amazing! Kitchen was well stocked, bedrooms, bathrooms were clean and up to date. Everything was really nice and it was really a fabulous house. The house was in a great location; we would walk around the lake just down the street. Owner gave us fabulous restaurant recommendations as well. Would highly recommend this house.

What can I say!! An absolute gem and a real home from home. I’ve never stayed somewhere before and felt really at home but Moira’s place did just that. We had the most incredible two weeks as a family (myself, my husband and our 1 year old as well as my parents, my sisters and their husbands). This was genuinely the nicest place I’ve ever stayed on Airbnb. Mike and Moira’s attention to detail was impeccable - from having Yorkshire tea (!) to the helpful and informative tourist packs. They have created something really special in Groléjac and we feel very lucky to have stayed there. The place was laid out perfectly for us as a family and even had plenty for our very active one year old to do. The teepee in the garden is perfect for children. Moira’s communication was also 10/10 - she genuinely couldn’t have done anymore to accommodate us. All that is left to say is thank you for creating a wonderful home. I can’t recommend it enough and we cannot wait to come back!

We had such a fantastic holiday at this lovely house. Its set in stunning grounds with a large swimming pool and plenty of outside space. The house is so well equipped and finished to a high standard. We've holidayed in the Dordogne for many years, and this is by far the best property we have found. Would recommend to anyone.

I don’t want to say how fantastic this place and location are as I want to come back next year. Moira has made an amazing home which was perfect for my kids who have grown up now. We loved the pool the outside dining and BBQ area along with the garden beds .

We loved staying with the family at this beautiful and charming property.
The restored country house is tastefully decorated and furnished. The modern kitchen, open to the dining room with its huge central island and overlooking the terrace, is amazing! The upstairs lounge with its large fireplace is superb. The bedrooms are nicely decorated.
We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the very large flower garden and were able to rest on the different terraces.
We enjoyed the great outdoors both in the house and outside.
If I had to choose the house of my dreams, it's for Moira and Mike for sure!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place, we had a wonderful week staying there. The villa is beautiful in & outside especially with all the exclusive decoration and furniture. A huge kitchen, well equipped, is fantastic for cooking sessions. The pool (which is large) and the terrace area invite for relaxing hours. It was hard to leave this place, but the surroundings were also worth a visit. Sarlat, Domme and beautiful castles and gardens are really close. Moira was so kind and responded really quickly, the whole process of checking in and out was really easy. Thank you so much again, we would love to come back.

You want to know why people come to Périgord Noir and never want to leave? Maybe because these people - like us - were lucky enough to stay in Moira's house in Groléjac.
Moira took exemplary care of everything even before we arrived. Communication was - perfect.
The good impression became even better when we arrived at the house: large, tasteful, well maintained - better than we had ever imagined.
In the large, perfectly equipped gourmet kitchen, a very loving welcome gift was waiting for us. Thank you again for that, dear Moira.
The high-quality garden and sun furniture by the pool, the uncompromising cleanliness in all rooms, the cozy living room, the new bathrooms - all this made it difficult for us to leave for the planned excursions at all. Especially the children wanted to stay in the house.
So: If you have the opportunity to book this house - do it!

La Lavendula is a beautiful house. Lots of space both inside and out. Extremely well equipped with high quality bedding and towels. We loved staying at Moira and Mike’s house. One of the nicest we have ever stayed in on Airbnb. Everything is as described with lots of thoughtful extras. It would be a fantastic house to bring the family with a beautiful play area for toddlers. Moira and Mike were perfect hosts, very welcoming and friendly with great communication.

Lovely restored house, everything felt very new and super clean.
We loved the big pool and easy layout with pool, outdoor dining and big sociable kitchen all adjoining.
Area is in easy reach to beautiful dordogne towns.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lavandula. It’s a beautiful property which has been renovated with care and attention by Moira & Mike - they have thought of everything to make our stay a fabulous one. We were really lucky with the weather and got to enjoy the fabulous pool most days. There were only 4 of us so lots of choice for the comfy squishy sun-loungers :-) plenty places to chill out by the pool in or out of the shade. The kitchen was beautiful with everything you could need and multiple ovens and a ginormous island!!. There was a huge outdoor dining table or equally big size inside and another one upstairs in the huge sitting room with a lovely verandah. The bedrooms were very tasteful and all had fans and uk adapters which was so handy. We went canoeing, explored Domme and had a lovely night in Sarlat. We were sad to leave today! Thank you Moira & Mike for sharing your beautiful home with us!
